Repair Procedure

1. Refer to Figure 1 and remove front ashtray from vehicle as follows:

^ Remove electric window switch pack. See WSM Section 86 for details.

^ Remove 2 screws securing each side panel to center console, and remove side panels.

^ Remove screw at rear of gear lever applique.

^ Raise rear end of applique to disengage 2 spring clips at forward end of applique.

^ Disconnect cigar lighter multiplug, release cigar lighter bulb, and remove gear lever applique.

^ Remove screws securing ashtray to gear lever applique, and remove ashtray from applique.

2. Remove clear rubber pivot pin from lock arm.





3. Carefully remove lock arm from under ashtray lid cam. (Figure 2)

4. Install new design lock arm on pivot and reinstall clear pivot pin.

5. Reinstall ashtray in vehicle.
