Compressor/Pump: Service and Repair

WARNING: The air suspension is pressurized to 10 bar (150 lbs/in2) . Dirt or grease must not enter the system. Wear hand, ear and eye safety standard protection when servicing system.
1. Depressurize system, refer to Air Suspension/Testing and Inspection/Procedures Testing and Inspection
2. Remove cover from air supply unit.
3. Release compressor multiplug from casing and disconnect plug.
4. Remove 3 nuts and dished washers securing compressor. Note orientation of dished washers.
5. Remove compressor outlet pipe, seal exposed ends.
6. Remove compressor.
Refit
7. Remove seals from air hose and compressor. Connect air hose to compressor and tighten union nut to 7Nm. (5 ft lbs.)
8. Fit compressor ensuring correct orientation of dished washers. Tighten fixings to 2 Nm. (1.5 ft lbs.).
NOTE: Ensure compressor is mounted centrally on mountings. Failure to align mountings may result in excessive noise and premature mounting rubber wear.
9. Connect compressor multiplug, secure to casing.
10. Leak test connection, refer to Air Suspension/Testing and Inspection/Procedures Testing and Inspection
11. Fit cover to air supply unit.
