Inspect Transmission Serial Number

NOTE:
Inspection of the gearbox serial number is required. Use of a spray degreaser will aid in reading the serial number accurately as the numbers may not be deeply stamped.

This Service Action is applicable only to vehicles with a transmission in the range 0600001 to 1812986.

1. Open the hood.





2. Inspect the transmission serial number. (Figure 1)

3. If the gearbox serial number is 1812987 or above claim Option A.

4. If the gearbox serial number is within the range of 0600001 to 1812986, perform the speed sensor rectification procedure.
