Heater Control "Bounce-Back"

SITUATION:
CONTROL KNOBS BOUNCE BACK AFTER ADJUSTMENT
An internal fault within the heater control panel causes the heater control panel switch to return to the original position after adjustment. The condition relates to cold temperatures.
RESOLUTION:
INSTALL NEW CONTROL PANEL
Should a customer express concern regarding the above, refer to the Service Procedure detailed in this Bulletin to install a new control panel.

NOTE:
Any repairs other than the installation of a new heater control panel must be carried out as a separate Warranty Claim.
DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.
Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
Material allowance is included in labor operation.

INSPECT AND IF INDICATED REPLACE CONTROL PANEL

1. Refer to Global Technical Reference (GTR) Section 80.10.02 and remove the heater control panel.
2. Inspect the condition of other system components as follows:
^ Verify that there are no restrictions evident in the heater distribution control cable at both the heater control end, and at the heater control mechanism side of the heater.
^ Verify that the control cable inner core wire is not bent or damaged.
3. Verify that the inner and outer core of the control cable are correctly attached.
NOTE:
Any repairs other than the installation of a new heater control panel must be carried out as a separate Warranty Claim.
3. Repair any faults found and claim following standard warranty practice.
4. If no faults are evident, refer to GTR Section 80.10.02 and install a new heater control panel.
