Brake Fluid Level Switch Availability

SITUATION:
LEVEL SWITCH NOT PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE SEPARATELY
Renewal of a damaged/inoperative brake fluid low-level warning switch has until now involved the replacement of a complete brake reservoir because the switch was not made available as a spare part.
RESOLUTION:
LEVEL SWITCH AVAILABLE
The brake fluid low-level warning switch has now been made available as a separate serviceable item.
To install a brake fluid low-level warning switch, follow the Service Procedure detailed in the workshop manual.

DDW WARRANTY CLAIMS:
DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.
Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
Material allowance is included in labor operation.

INSTALL REPLACEMENT FLUID LEVEL SENSOR WHEN INDICATED

GTR Home > NAS > Service Information/ LN Freelander/2004 > Workshop Manuals > Service Procedures > Bookmark "BRAKES/REPAIRS/Switch, low fluid level"
1. Refer to GTR Workshop Manual and troubleshoot the low fluid level condition if indicated.
2. If required for repair, refer to GTR Workshop Manual section 70.65.06 and replace the low fluid level switch (SJL500020).
