Freelander VIS System Motor Seals

Some retailers have encountered situations that indicate inspection or replacement of the VIS motor on the intake manifold. The Workshop Manual states that a replacement VIS is supplied with a seal, but the spare parts motors are currently not delivered with the preinstalled seal.

NOTE:
Seals are currently NOT AVAILABLE through the parts system. Ensure that all seals are removed from replaced components for re-use.

When replacing VIS motors (MKE100100L or MKE100110L), the rubber seal from the removed VIS motor must be re-used.





Carefully extract the seal from its location in the removed component.

Position the seal into the cavity in the new part before installation.
