Oil Leak from the Intermediate Reduction Drive

SITUATION:
LEAK FROM THE INTERMEDIATE REDUCTION DRIVE (IRD)
An oil leak can develop between the main case and end cover. The cause of the leak may be poor sealing between the IRD mating faces.
RESOLUTION:
The sealant between the mating faces of the IRD end cover and IRD main case is serviceable. A leak DOES NOT require unit replacement.
