Install Intake Manifold Chamber Seals

1. Clean the seal faces on the intake manifold chamber and inlet manifolds.

2. Install new 0-rings to right-hand intake manifold and new seals to the intake manifold chamber.

CAUTION:
Blanking plugs must be removed before component is installed.

3. Position the intake manifold chamber to the left-hand intake manifold.

4. Align the intake manifold chamber to the inlet manifolds.

5. Install and tighten the bolts to 18Nm (13 lbf-ft).

6. Align the intake manifold chamber support brackets to the right-hand camshaft cover.

7. Install and tighten the bolts to 10Nm (7 lbf-ft).

8. Install the vacuum/breather pipe to the left-hand camshaft cover.

CAUTION:
Blanking plugs must be removed before component is installed.

9. Install the vacuum/breather pipe to the manifold chamber.

10. Position the engine harness brackets to the intake manifold chamber.

11. Install and tighten the harness bracket retaining screws.

12. Connect the electrical connectors to the VIS motors.

13. Position air intake pipe and secure with clip.

14. Connect connector to throttle body.

15. Connect the connectors to the IAT and MAF sensors.

16. Align the harness and the fuel supply pipe and secure both in the clip on the intake manifold chamber.

17. Connect the connector to the purge control valve.

CAUTION:
Blanking plugs must be removed before component is installed.

18. Connect the fuel hose to the fuel rail pipe and install the rubber sleeve over the hose connector.

19. Secure the vacuum enhancer to the intake manifold chamber.

20. Install the engine acoustic cover.

21. Connect the battery ground lead.
