Date: 27 February 2004

Low Windshield Washer Fluid Flow

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

SITUATION:

LOW OR REDUCED WINDSHIELD WASHER FLOW

Deterioration of the washer fluid tube junction elbow below the washer jets can result in leaking and loss of pressure. The customer may experience reduced flow of the windshield washer fluid onto the windshield. Aim and speed may also be factors affecting fluid delivery.

RESOLUTION:

REMOVE TUBING "ELBOW" COMPONENT FROM FLUID DELIVERY

To resolve a complaint of reduced washer fluid flow, remove the elbow directly below the washer jets and install the fluid delivery hose directly to the jet. Verify correct aim of the jet nozzles.
