SITUATION:
CORRUPTED SOFTWARE LEADS TO INOPERATIVE NAV SYSTEM
Loading of new software or languages can occasionally stop before completion and a recovery process may be required.
RESOLUTION:
FOLLOW PROCEDURES IN THIS BULLETIN TO AVOID OR RECOVER FROM CORRUPTED SOFTWARE
Follow the procedures in this bulletin if a software update or a language change is required. If at any time during a software update or a language change the load becomes corrupted, refer to the recovery procedure detailed in this bulletin. A software corruption can occur due to the software CD being damaged or dirty; or loading is stopped by premature ignition switch-off, voltage drop or time-out due to other vehicle bus activity.

Software and language updates must be carried out using software CD LRL0568 3rd Edition or a later issue.
