OPERATION

Power Distribution
Feed from the positive battery terminal (C0192) is provided to fusible link 11E and fuse 25E (C0632) on an R wire. Both are located within the Battery Junction Box (BJB). Fuse 25E (C0570) provides a constant battery feed to the lighting control switch (C0041) on an NG wire. The switch (C0041) is provided a ground path on a B wire.

Fusible link 11E (C0570) is connected to the ignition switch (C0028) by an N wire. When the ignition switch is in the 'ignition' position, current flows across the switch (C0028) to fuse 67P of the Central Junction Box (CJB) (C0582) on a Y wire. Fuse 67P provides a feed to the auto headlamp relay, which is also located in the CJB.

Lighting Control Switch
When the lighting control switch is turned to the side or headlamp position, current flows across the switch (C0041) to the following LEDs on RN wires:
^ Instrument cluster (C0230)
^ Audio head unit (C1354)
^ Instrument panel center switch pack (C2387)
^ Front cigar lighter (C0074)
^ Drivers door switch pack (C0343)
^ Passenger door window switch (C0087)
^ LH rear window switch (C0732)
^ RH rear window switch (C0732)
^ Second row LH headphone unit (C2357)
^ Second row RH headphone unit (C2357)
^ Third row LH headphone unit (C0796)
^ Third row RH headphone unit (C0795)
^ LH steering wheel module (C2283)
^ RH steering wheel module (C2147)
^ Electric park brake switch (C2180)
^ Audio Visual Input (AVI) panel (C2831)
^ Automatic transmission selector (C2658)
^ Automatic transmission selector indicator (C2656 & C2657)
^ Front interior lamp assembly (C0357 & C1975)
^ LH rear seat heat switch (C1401)
^ RH rear seat heat switch (C1403)
^ center console switch pack (C0700)
^ Front High Level Definition (HLD) screen (C2819)

All are provided ground paths via B wires except the roof opening panel switch LED, which is located within the front interior lamp assembly. The ground path in this instance is controlled by the roof opening panel control module (C0784) on a GB wire.

Active Illumination
If ambient light levels drop below a preset level, the ambient light sensor (C0961) informs the CJB (C0586) via the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) on an R wire. When the CJB receives a low ambient light message it energises the auto headlamp relay by providing a ground path for the relay coil.

The energised auto headlamp relay (C0585) provides a feed to the lighting control switch (C0041) on an RO wire. This feed overrides the feed from fuse 25E of the BJB and is used to illuminate the LEDs listed previously.
