Upper Glove Compartment Rattle

Model Year: 2006 - Onwards

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

The upper glove compartment may exhibit a rattle. This may be caused by the upper glove compartment lid bump stop(s) being worn.

Action:

In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to install new upper glove compartment bump stops.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL UPPER GLOVE COMPARTMENT LID BUMP STOPS

1. Open the upper glove compartment lid





2. Remove the existing right-hand (RH) bump stop from the compartment liner. (Figure 1)

CAUTION:
Do not damage surrounding area.





3. Using a small screwdriver, carefully install the new bump stop. (Figure 2)





4. Twist! pull the bump stop lightly, ensuring it is fully seated. (Figure 3)

5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 on the left-hand (LH) bump stop.
