3.6 Output Shaft Speed Sensor3.6.1 Description
The output shaft speed sensor is continually monitored for implausible changes in speed. When the entry conditions have been met, the output shaft speed is compared to the turbine shaft speed. If the difference is greater than 200 rpm and the output shaft speed changes by more than 1000 rpm in consecutive readings then a failure is registered.
If the above table does not include details of the following enabling conditions: - IAT, ECT, vehicle speed range, and time after engine start-up then the state of these parameters has no influence upon the execution of the monitor.
