Summary:
This Technical Bulletin is to inform Authorized Repairers of an accessory fit engine block heater (allows the engine to be pre-heated to assist start conditions in low ambient temperatures).
NOTE:
To be installed by an Authorized Repairer only. This feature is at the request of the customer only, and must be charged to the customer.
To install an engine block heater, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

Service Instruction
1. Remove the engine undershield (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section 501-02).
2. Drain the coolant (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section 303-03A).
3. Cut hose in two places (see E100523), remove and discard the cut section of hose.
4. Secure the securing bracket to the engine block.
5. Feed harness through the grille panel.
6. Feed harness under radiator pack.
7. Secure the block heater connector to the grille.
1. Secure the connector using a cable tie.
8. Connect harness to block heater and cable tie to hose.
9. Fill coolant system (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section 303-03A).
10. Install the engine undershield (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section 501-02).
