Rear Lamp Condensation / Misting





AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
Condensation or misting may be evident in the rear lamp assemblies. This may be caused by moisture inside the lamp lenses.

Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to install vents in the rear lamp assemblies.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL VENTS TO REAR LAMP ASSEMBLIES

NOTE:
Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

GTR Home > NAS > LF - LR2 > Service Information> Model Year > Workshop Manual

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 417-01, Exterior Lighting, and remove the left rear lamp assembly.





2. Remove the plastic nitto vent. (Figure 1)





3. Install the new vent tube to the lamp assembly. (Figure 2)

4. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 417-01, Exterior Lighting, and install the left rear lamp assembly.

5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 on the right rear lamp assembly.
