OPERATION

Power Distribution
Feed from the positive battery terminal (C0192) is supplied to fusible link 17E (C0632) on an R wire. Fusible link 17E is located in the Battery Junction Box (BJB) (C0570) and provides a constant battery feed to the CJB (C0583) and fuse 12P on an NR wire. The CJB (C0585) is provided a ground via a B wire.

Horn Relay
The horn relay is located within the CJB and is provided a battery feed via fuse 12P. Operation of the relay is controlled by the LH and RH horn switches. The horn relay coil (C0580) is connected to the LH (C2283) and RH (C2147) horn switches by a PO wire via the clock spring (C0082 and C1254). When either horn switch is pressed, the contacts close and a ground is created via the clock spring on a B wire.

The energised horn relay (C0583) is now able to provide a feed to the LH (C0003) and RH (C0004) horns on a pair of PG wires. Both are provided a ground on B wires.

Anti-theft Alarm Trigger
If the anti-theft alarm system requests an audible warning, the CJB provides a ground path for the horn relay coil. By switching this ground path on an off, the CJB can pulse the operation of the horns.
