Transmission Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE:
Install a new gasket.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
NOTE:
The component cannot be removed at this stage.
2 Detach the transmission fluid pan from the transmission.
CAUTION: Discard the component.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
NOTE:
Note the position of the manual park brake release.
NOTE:

3 Remove the transmission control module and the transmission fluid pan.
4 Remove the transmission fluid pan and the transmission control module.
5 Remove and discard the gasket.
Installation
CAUTION: Make sure that when fully fitted, all seals protrude by the same amount.
CAUTION: Install the new seals.
Install a new seal block.
CAUTION: Install the new seals.

1 Install the new gasket.
2 Install the transmission fluid pan and the transmission control module.
CAUTION: Make sure the manual park release is correctly engaged.
NOTE:
Transmission fluid pan shown removed for clarity.
3 Tighten to 8 Nm.
CAUTION: Make sure that a new component is installed.
4 Tighten to 8 Nm.
NOTE:
Install a new gasket.
5 Tighten to 22 Nm.
6 Tighten to 22 Nm.

7 Lower the vehicle.
