Radiator Support: Service and Repair





Hood Latch Panel
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Remove the headlamps.
For additional information, refer to Headlamp Assembly Removal and Replacement

NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
3 Remove the front impact sensors.

4 Remove the front fenders.
For additional information, refer to Fender Service and Repair




5 Release and tie aside the power steering reservoir.




6 Release the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.




7 Release the hood latches.








8 Release the harness.





WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.





NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Installation
1 Install the headlamp brackets.
Torque to: 6 Nm

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
2 Install the hood latch panel.
Torque to: 24 Nm
3 Secure the electrical harness.
4 Install the radiator mountings.
Torque to: 6 Nm
5 Install the hood latches.
Torque to: 10 Nm
6 Install the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.
Torque to: 6 Nm
7 Install the power steering fluid reservoir.
8 Install the front impact sensors.

9 Install the front fenders.

10 Install the headlamps.
