Accessory Drive Component Bracket
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal
NOTE:
It is only necessary to check the alignment of the bracket if the bracket has been replaced, or any of the components it mounts to have been adjusted or replaced.
1 Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.

2 Remove the engine cover.
For additional information, refer to Engine Cover - 3.2L Service and Repair
3 Remove the battery tray.
For additional information, refer to Battery Tray Service and Repair
4 Remove the air cleaner assembly.
For additional information, refer to Air Cleaner Service and Repair
5 Remove the A/C compressor, upper support bracket.
6 Remove the A/C compressor, lower support bracket.
7 Using suitable tools, release the accessory drive belt tension.
8 Release the A/C compressor and tie aside.
9 Remove the accessory drive component bracket.
NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
10 Remove the dowels.
Installation
1 Install the dowels.
NOTE:
It is only necessary to check the alignment of the bracket if the bracket has been replaced, or any of the components it mounts to have been adjusted or replaced.
2 Check the alignment of the bracket using the special tool.
Special Service Tool
Aligner, A/C Bracket, 303-1224
3 Install the accessory drive component bracket.
M10: 50 Nm
M8: 24 Nm
4 Install the A/C compressor.
Torque to: 25 Nm
5 Install the accessory drive belt.
6 Install the A/C compressor, lower support bracket.
Torque to: 25 Nm
7 Install the A/C compressor, upper support bracket.
M10: 45 Nm
M8: 25 Nm
M6: 10 Nm
8 Install the air cleaner assembly.

9 Install the battery tray.

10 Install the engine cover.

11 Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
