Instrument Cluster
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal
NOTE:
When a new instrument cluster is to be installed, the Land Rover approved diagnostic system must be connected to the vehicle and the instrument cluster renewal procedure followed. This will allow vehicle coding data and current service interval data to be correctly installed to the new instrument cluster.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
1 Make the SRS system safe.

2 Remove the driver lower air bag module.

NOTE:
RHD illustration shown, LHD is similar.
3 Remove the keyless start control module trim cover.
4 Remove the steering column lower cowl.
5 Adjust the steering column to its lowest position.
NOTE:
Take extra care when releasing the clips.
6 Remove the instrument cluster surround.
Remove the 3 Torx screws.
Installation
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2 If a new component has been installed, configure using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
