Update Prior to Sale: Quality Enhancement Program
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
LR2 (LF) VIN: BH216517 - BH225631 (specific USA VINs only)
Model Year: 2011
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
To ensure 2011 model year LR2 vehicles are equipped with the very latest software and parts to enhance the vehicle owner's experience, a limited number of vehicles within the affected VIN range require an Infotainment control module software update, new front passenger and rear floor mats with retaining clips installed, and a Quick Start Guide / Information Hanger fitted.
NOTE:
The updates may only be performed on eligible vehicles which were sold and delivered between 01 November 2010 and 28 February 2011. Unsold vehicles and vehicles delivered after 28 February 2011 are not eligible.
Action:
Eligible vehicles sold and delivered between 01 November 2010 and 28 February 2011 should be updated at the next opportunity.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
UPDATE INFOTAINMENT CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE
CAUTION:
Ensure all ingition requests "ON" / "OFF" are carried out; failure to perform these steps may cause damage to control modules in the vehicle
CAUTION:
A Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during IDS diagnosis / module programming.
1. Connect the Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.
2. Turn ignition 'ON' (engine not running).
NOTE:
IDS must be loaded with IDS-DVD124_V6.01 or later and Calibration File 59 or later.
3. Connect the IDS to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.
5. From the Session Type selection screen, choose 'Campaigns'.
6. Allow the on-screen prompts until the 'Recommendations' tab is visible.
CAUTION:
Choose ONLY the control module(s) below from the SDD Campaigns list for updating.
DO NOT select any module(s) not listed below which may be displayed as this will result in damage to the vehicle.
7. From the list of recommendations, select 'Run' for the following module(s) only:
^ Configure existing module> Infotainment control module
8. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task. When all tasks are complete, exit the current session by selecting the 'Close Session' option.
9. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply from the vehicle.
INSTALL NEW FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR FLOOR MATS AND RETAINING CLIPS
1. Remove the existing rear floor mats.
2. Properly position the new left-hand (LH) floor mat in the LH rear footwell.
3. Mark the center of the floor mat holes ('A' and 'B') onto the vehicle carpet. (Figure 1)
4. Remove the floor mat.
5. Use a suitable tool to 'spike' a small hole in the vehicle carpet at points 'C' and 'D', 30mm rearwards of marks 'A' and 'B'. (Figure 2)
6. Insert the mat retention clips into points C and Din the vehicle carpet, rotating clockwise until they turn freely. (Figure 3)
7. Position the mat retention clips as shown. (Figure 4)
8. Secure the LH mat in the LH rear footwell on the retention clips.
9. Repeat steps 2-8 to the right-hand (RH) rear and front passenger floor mats.
PLACE INFORMATION HANGER IN VEHICLE
NOTE:
The Information Hanger must remain in the vehicle until customer handover is complete.
1. Install the Information Hanger (JJM 18 56 56 111) to the interior rearview mirror.
