Creak Noise From Front Seat Base

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation: A 'creak' noise may be heard when sitting on the seat cushion.

Cause: This may be caused by insufficient lubrication at the seat pivot point.

Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. NOTE:
Make sure the customer concern is a creak noise; if it is a seat rock concern, refer to Technical Bulletin LTB00176NAS.

Remove the affected seat lower cushion (TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-10).





2. Lubricate the seat pivot point as shown using Nyogel 744L from the Squeaks & Rattles Kit.

3. Install the seat lower cushion (TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-10).
