Removal





1 De-activate the power side step.
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
2 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications Battery and Charging System

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.




4 Disconnect the power side step electrical connector.

Release the power side step.
- Remove the 2 bolts.

With assistance, remove the power side step.
- Undo but do not remove the 4 bolts.

Installation
1 With assistance, install the power side step.
2 Secure the power side step.
- Tighten the 2 bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb.ft).
3 Fully tighten the 4 power side step bolts.
- Tighten the 4 bolts to 9 Nm (7 lb.ft).
4 Connect the power side step electrical connector.
5 Lower the vehicle on the lift.
6 Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications Battery and Charging System
7 Activate the power side step.
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
