Brake Bedding Mode
Bedding mode is a special mode available in the parking brake module (PBM) that disables the stability assist system (ABS) and allows the parking brake to provide the braking force rather than the conventional braking system whilst the vehicle is moving at a velocity of >3kph. This mode is entered via a series of brake pedal presses and switch applications, full details on this procedure is available in the relevant section of this product. If brake bedding mode is entered accidentally by the driver the RED warning lamp will flash in the Instrument Pack, the module will return to normal operational mode when the ignition has been cycled. This DTC (C110468) is intended to highlight the fact that although the RED lamp was illuminated there was no fault present in the control module.
