Removal

1 Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
2 Raise and support the vehicle.

Torque to: 10 Nm
CAUTION: Evenly and progressively, remove the VVT units from each side.

Installation
CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
NOTE:
Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2 If required, carry out a short drive cycle.
