INSPECTION
Terminal Identification:
Reference:
1. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT
Connect the wire harness side connector to the combination switch and inspect wire harness side connector from the back side, as shown.
Turn Signal Switch Circuit
If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts.

3. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

4. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the switch connector and inspect the connection on the wire harness side, as shown.
If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts.
5. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL FLASHER RELAY OPERATION
a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to 3.
b. Connect the 2 turn signal light bulbs parallel to each other to terminals 1 and 3, then check that bulbs flash.
HINT: The turn signal lights should flash 60 to 120 times per minute.
If one of the front or rear turn signal lights has an open circuit, the number of flashes will be more that 140 per minute.
If operation is not as specified, replace the flasher.

6. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL FLASHER RELAY CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the relay and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.
