Introduction
To reduce the possibility of rear brake squeal noise, the rear rotor and anti-squeal shims have been modified.

Applicable Warranty *:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure





Confirm the vehicle production date and perform the repair as described.

A. Replace the rear brake pads, disc rotor, and anti-squeal shims.

NOTE:
If the vehicle had been previously repaired under TSIB BR005-99, "Rear Brake Squeal Noise, " and has a reoccurrence of rear brake squeal noise, clean the brake pads and replace the rear disc rotors and anti-squeal shims only.

B. Replace the rear brake disc rotors and anti-squeal shims.

C. Replace the rear brake anti-squeal shims.
