Introduction

Production changes to the Expansion Valve and Liquid Tube have been made to prevent A/C noise caused by internal vibration of the Expansion Valve. Noise is transmitted through the refrigerant to the Liquid Tube and is generated after the compressor initially cycles "ON".

^ Replace both the Liquid Tube and Expansion Valve on vehicles built prior to VIN JT6HT00W*X0024149.

^ Replace Expansion Valve ONLY on vehicles built between VINs JT6HT00W*X0024149 and JT6HT00W*X0034764.

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's In-service date.
