Removal

NOTE:
- If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected and the ignition switch is at ON or ACC position, DTCs will be recorded.
- Never use the airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.






1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the side airbag connector.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

c. Disconnect the power seat connector.

HINT: Disconnect the connector after sliding the seat to the most front position.






2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST
Remove the cap, bolt and front seat armrest.
3. REMOVE HEADREST AND HEADREST SUPPORTS






4. REMOVE SEATBACK BOARD
Remove the seatback board as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Remove the seatback board in order A, B as shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER (W/ PAD)






a. Remove the all hog rings.
b. Disengage the hook of the seat back cover.






c. Remove the 2 screws and 2 hooks.
d. Remove the seatback cover (w/ pad) form the seatback frame.

6. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 switch knobs.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 4 screws and remove the front seat cushion shield and front power adjuster shield.
c. Remove the 3 screws and front seat cushion inner shield.






d. Remove the wire harness of the side airbag assembly from the seat cushion assembly.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness.






e. Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion assembly.






f. Remove the 3 screws and reclining adjuster inside cover.
g. Remove the wire harness of the side airbag assembly from the reclining adjuster inside cover.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness.






7. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 nuts and side airbag assembly.

CAUTION:
- Do not store the side airbag assembly with the airbag deployment direction facing down.
- Never disassemble the side airbag assembly.
