Interior Light Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or the bulb.







INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or me wire harness.

INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from room light assembly.
b. Turn the room light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and body ground.




c. Turn the room light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.
