Disassembly & Assembly Headlamp

DISASSEMBLY




1. Disconnect the high beam bulb connector.

A. Remove the high beam bulb cover.

B. Disconnect the high beam bulb connector.




2. Remove the headlamp light control cover.

A. Remove the 4 screws and disconnect the headlamp light control cover.




B. Disconnect the headlamp light control connector from the headlamp light control unit.

C. Remove the headlamp light control cover.


ASSEMBLY




NOTE: The headlamp protector and the headlamp light control harness differ from the LH and RH sides.

1. Install the headlamp protector.




A. Seal the anchor of the headlamp protector with self-fusing tape to prevent water from entering.
Self-fusing Tape: 3M Scotch(R) 70
Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber
Electrical Tape

NOTE:
- Be sure to stretch the self-fusing tape to two times the original length when wrapping the anchor.

-Stretching the tape allows both tapes to fuse to securely secure the anchor.

- Overwrap the tape 10 mm (0.39 in.) or more on both sides and make sure that water, such as rain drops, cannot enter from the parts indicated by the arrows in the illustration.




B. Install the headlamp protector to a NEW headlamp light control cover.

C. Insert the protector grommet to cover the hole.
NOTE:
Be sure to insert the protector grommet fully.




D. Install the headlamp protector bracket to the headlamp light control with the 2 bolts and nuts.

2. Install the NEW headlamp light control cover.




A. Connect the high beam bulb connector.

B. Install the high beam bulb cover.




C. Connect the headlamp light control connector.

D. Set the headlamp light control to the headlamp assembly.




E. Install a NEW headlamp light control cover with the 4 screws.
HINT:
- After installing the headlamp light control cover, pull out the cable of the headlamp protector as much as possible.

- Be sure to insert the protector grommet fully.

- Be sure to install the headlamp light control cover properly and tighten the 4 screws fully.
