Windows: Description and Operation
SYSTEM OUTLINE1. MANUAL DOWN OR UP OPERATION
When the power window master SW (Driver's) in the driver door ECU is pressed one step, the current flows from TERMINAL DN of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL 2 of the power window motor front LH to TERMINAL 1 to TERMINAL UP of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, and rotates the motor to open the window.
When the power window master SW (Driver's) in the driver door ECU is pulled one step, the current flows from TERMINAL UP of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL 1 of the power window motor front LH to TERMINAL 2 to TERMINAL DN of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, and rotates the motor to the opposite direction and closes the window. For the other windows, as the power window master SW and power window SW is operated, the relevant door window is opened or closed.
2. AUTO DOWN OR UP OPERATION
When the power window master SW (Driver's) in the driver door ECU is pushed two steps, the ECU determines it is in auto mode and the current flows from TERMINAL DN of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL 2 of the power window motor front LH to TERMINAL 1 to TERMINAL UP of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, and rotates the motor to open the window automatically.
Accordingly, when each window switch of the front power window master SW is pressed, the relevant door window is automatically opened through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU
When the power window master SW (Driver's) in the driver door ECU is pulled two steps, the ECU determines it is in auto mode and the current flows from TERMINAL UP of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL 1 of the power window motor front LH to TERMINAL 2 to TERMINAL DN of the driver door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, and rotates the motor to close the window automatically.
Accordingly, when each window switch of the front power window master SW is pulled, the relevant door window is automatically closed through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU. Furthermore, and the power window control SW of each door is operated, the window will open/close automatically.
3. POWER WINDOW OPERATION LINKED WITH DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK SW
When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder on the driver side, and is kept turned to LOCK or UNLOCK position for approximately 2.5 seconds or longer, all the door windows can be opened or closed.
- Power window close operation
When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder and is kept turned to the LOCK position for 2.5 seconds or longer, the signal from the door key lock and unlock SW is input to the driver door ECU TERMINAL KL. Through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU, the current flows from TERMINAL UP of each door ECU to power window motor to TERMINAL DN of each door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, to close all the door windows.
- Power window open operation
When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder and is kept turned to the UNLOCK position for 2.5 seconds or longer, the signal from the door key lock and unlock SW is input to to the driver door ECU TERMINAL KUL. Through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU, the current flows from TERMINAL DN of each door ECU to power window motor to TERMINAL UP of each door ECU to TERMINAL GND to GROUND, to open all the door windows.
4. POWER WINDOW OPERATION LINKED WITH TRANSMITTER
When the unlock SW of the ignition key SW (Transmitter) is kept pressed for approximately 2.5 seconds or longer, all the door windows can be opened, and is stopped by releasing the SW.
5. CATCHING PREVENTION FUNCTION
If any foreign matter is caught in the window while it is rising, the pulse sensor installed in the power window motor detects changes in the number of motor rotations, forcibly lowers the door window 50 mm or if the door window opening amount is 200 mm or less, the window is lowered so that the opening amount is 200 mm.
6. KEY OFF MOON ROOF OPERATION
Within approximately 45 sec. after the ignition SW is turned from on to off, the power window can be operated. However, if the driver or front passenger door is opened during this period of time, the power window operation is stopped even through 45 sec. have not elapsed.
