INTRODUCTION:
Under certain conditions, some 2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles may exhibit M.I.L. "ON" with DTC B1153. The sub-wire harness assembly leading to the seat position sensor has been improved to prevent this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
- Should an M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC B1153 be encountered, perform diagnostic procedures as described in the Repair Manual.
- When checking Floor Wire No. 2, be aware that there is a sub-harness that is included with the seat belt buckle assembly (connector B12 to seat position sensor 2-pin connector).
- If there is high resistance or "open" in the underseat portion of the wire harness, replace the belt buckle assembly, NOT the Floor Wire No. 2.

Confirm that both the Floor Wire No. 2 and the belt buckle harness are intact.
