REGISTRATION1. DESCRIPTION
HINT:
- Turn the ignition switch OFF before replacing the Mayday ECU (together with Mayday battery) or Mayday battery.
- The Mayday ECU assembly estimates the remaining power of the Mayday battery based on the Mayday battery usage time.
2. MAYDAY ECU REGISTRATION
a. Turn the ignition switch ON. Then press the PHONE button 5 times within 15 seconds with the VOL- button held down.
3. MAYDAY ECU CONFIRMATION
a. Press the SERVICES button. When the Mayday ECU is set normally, the following demo message is provided.
"Hello and welcome to LEXUS Link. For LEXUS Link services, contact a LEXUS Link advisor by pressing the SERVICE button again. For additional information, visit us Online at Lexus.com in the owner section or talk to your LEXUS dealer." If the message is not provided, perform the "REGISTRATION" procedures.
4. MAYDAY BATTERY REGISTRATION
a. Perform the following operations.
VOL+, VOL+, VOL-, VOL-, VOL+, VOL+, VOL-, VOL-, VOL+, VOL+, VOL-, VOL-.
5. MAYDAY BATTERY CONFIRMATION
a. After replacement check: If the "New Mayday Battery Installation DTC Reset Button Sequence" has been completed, turn the ignition switch OFF and ON. Then check that current DTC 6-1 is not detected.
NOTE: If the "New Mayday Battery Installation DTC Reset Button Sequence" has not been completed correctly, current DTC 6-1 will continue to be detected even if the Mayday battery is replaced with a new one. In this case, check the date of manufacture and power of the battery before replacing the battery.
