ECM:





REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE GLOVE BOX COMPARTMENT DOOR




a. Remove the 2 screws and glove compartment door.

3. REMOVE NO. 2 FINISH PANEL LOWER




a. Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 finish panel lower.

4. REMOVE ECM ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
b. Remove the 3 screws and ECM.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM ASSEMBLY




a. Install the ECM with the 3 screws.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

b. Connect the 5 ECM connectors.

NOTE: Be sure to securely connect the connectors.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 FINISH PANEL LOWER




a. Install the No. 2 finish panel lower with the 3 screws.

3. INSTALL GLOVE BOX COMPARTMENT DOOR




a. Install the glove compartment door with the 2 screws.

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Perform initialization

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
