Seat Belt Systems: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER FRONT LH
2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT LH
3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH
4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
7. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 4 clamps.
c. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly and the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster to overlap.
b. Install the 4 clamps.
c. Connect the connectors.
2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
4. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER RH
7. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER LH
8. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT LH
9. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER FRONT LH
10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
11. CHECK POWER SEAT FUNCTION
12. INSPECT SEAT HEATER OPERATION
13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
