DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

1. READ DATA LIST

HINT: By the DATA LIST displayed on the intelligent tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without removing any parts. Reading the DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the methods to save time.

a. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Read the DATA LIST.




















2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST

HINT: Performing ACTIVE TEST using the intelligent tester allows the relay and so on to operate without removing any parts. Performing ACTIVE TEST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the methods to save time. DATA LIST can be displayed during ACTIVE TEST.

a. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Perform the ACTIVE TEST.
