The body ECU detects the condition of the door courtesy switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.
(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

NG -- INSPECT COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
(a) Inspect front door courtesy switch Front Door Courtesy Switch.
(b) Inspect rear door courtesy switch Rear Door Courtesy Switch.
NG -- REPLACE COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the 1O, B5 and B6 connectors from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
