Installation

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.
(b) Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.
CAUTION: After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.





(c) Temporarily install the center airbag sensor assembly with the 3 bolts.
- If the center airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the center airbag sensor assembly, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

(d) Tighten the 3 bolts to the specified torque.
Torque: 17.5 Nm (179 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
(e) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the center airbag sensor assembly.
(f) Connect the 3 connectors to the center airbag sensor assembly.
(g) Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.

(a) Connect the connector to the console cover lower.
(b) Install the console cover lower with the 2 screws.

7. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER Removal

8. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX NO.2 HOLE COVER
HINT: Use the same procedures for the console box No.2 hole cover and the console box hole cover.

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER Installation

10. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH Installation

11. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the floor carpet cover center RH and the floor carpet cover center LH.

12. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO.2 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH and the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH Installation.

15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM RH WEATHERSTRIP
16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF LH PLATE Installation

17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER Installation

18. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF RH PLATE
HINT: Use the same procedures for the front door scuff RH plate and the front door scuff LH plate.

19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER Installation

20. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Installation

22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
23. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
HINT: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

24. INSPECT CHECK POWER SEAT FUNCTION
25. INSPECT SEAT HEATER OPERATION
26. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
