Introduction
During Pre-Delivery Service (PDS), initialize each door's power window after installing the Short Pin in its original location.

The installation of the Short Pin will enable the "one-touch open and close"" and "jam protection" functions of each door's power window.

NOTE:
^ Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, each door's power window MUST be re-initialized.

^ For Short Pin installation, refer to TSIB No. PD046-07, "Short Pin & Engine Compartment Side Cover Installation During PDS".

Applicable Vehicles

^ 2008 model year RX 400h vehicles.

Initialization Procedure

With ignition switch in the "ON" position, do the following:

NOTE:
If the power windows have not been initialized, the driver's door power window switch should be blinking.





1. Push the driver's door power window switch to open the window.





2. Pull up the driver's door power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for approximately one second. At this time, the driver's door power window switch will stop blinking and remain illuminated.

NOTE:
^ To initialize the other 3 passenger windows, press the switch on each passenger door to open the windows. Then pull up each door's power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for approximately one second.

^ At this time, each door's power window switch will stop blinking and remain illuminated.

3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch "DOWN"once and fully pulling the switch "UP" once.

NOTE:
Jam protection function becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.
