Heater Relay Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The heater relay is turned on by signals from the A/C amplifier assembly. It supplies power to the blower motor controller.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HEATER FUSE
(a) Remove the HEATER fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HEATER FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT HEATER RELAY





(a) Remove the HEATER relay from the R/B No.3.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HEATER RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
(a) Remove the A/C amplifier assembly with the connectors still connected.





(b) Disconnect the connector from the A/C amplifier assembly.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
