B1596 - No Response from Remote Touch
DESCRIPTION
The display and navigation module display and remote touch (remote operation board) are connected by the MOST communication line.
When a MOST communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and remote touch (remote operation board) , these DTCs will be stored.
HINT
* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Check for optional components.
(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
Result:
HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
* This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.
B -- CHECK DTC
A -- Continue to next step.
2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for DVD).
(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE TOUCH (REMOTE OPERATION BOARD) POWER SOURCE)
OK -- END
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE TOUCH (REMOTE OPERATION BOARD) POWER SOURCE)
(a) Disconnect the remote touch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOST COMMUNICATION LINE)
(a) Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
(b) Disconnect the remote touch connector.
(c) Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
(d) Measure the resistance between the display and navigation module display and remote touch according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(e) Measure the resistance between the remote touch and radio receiver assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.
6. REPLACE REMOTE TOUCH (REMOTE OPERATION BOARD)
(a) Replace the remote touch Disassembly.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for DVD).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
