NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD): B159D,B15D9: No Response from Operation Panel
B159D - No Response from Operation Panel
B15D9 - Operation Panel Disconnected
DESCRIPTION
The display and navigation module display and radio receiver assembly (A/C control panel) are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.
When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and radio receiver assembly (A/C control panel), these DTCs will be stored.
HINT
If either B159D or B15D9 and either B1597 or B15D6 are output, troubleshoot for B1597 or B15D6 first.
HINT
* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* After replacing the radio receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, registration of the XM radio ID is necessary. (w/ SDARS System)
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for HDD).
(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
Result:
C -- END
B -- GO TO DTC CHART
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Check for optional components.
(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
Result:
HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
* This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.
B -- CHECK DTC
A -- Continue to next step.
3. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for HDD).
(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (A/C CONTROL PANEL) POWER SOURCE)
OK -- END
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (A/C CONTROL PANEL) POWER SOURCE)
(a) Disconnect the G8 radio receiver assembly (A/C control panel) connector.
