SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory): B2650: Slide Sensor Malfunction
B2650 - Slide Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the position control ECU and switch assembly (seat ECU) does not receive a sensor signal despite forward or backward movement of seat by power seat motor operation, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-Seat / Trouble Codes.

(e) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(f) Recheck for DTC B2650.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-Seat / Active Test.

(b) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

D-Seat





OK:

Motor operates normally.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the a8 connector from the position control ECU and switch assembly.





(b) Disconnect the a13 connector from the slide motor.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Reconnect the a8 connector to the position control ECU and switch assembly.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the a13 connector from the slide motor.

(b) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the a9 connector from the position control ECU and switch assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
