B2658 - Short in Sensor with Motor Power Supply Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if sensor voltage does not reach the designated voltage while the slide motor is operating.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D- Seat / Trouble Codes.

(e) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(f) Recheck for DTC B2658.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the a8 connector from the position control ECU and switch assembly.





(b) Disconnect the a13 connector from the slide motor.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR)

(a) Reconnect the a8 connector to the position control ECU and switch assembly.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
