C1A46 - Yaw Rate Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives vehicle stability signals from the yaw rate sensor and sends the signals to the driving support ECU and ECM. If the skid control ECU detects that the yaw rate sensor is malfunctioning, the skid control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the driving support ECU, and the driving support ECU stores DTC C1A46. Also, when DTC C1A46 is stored, the skid control ECU stores DTC C1435 at the same time.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

This circuit uses CAN communication. Therefore, be sure to check that the CAN communication system is normal before performing inspection How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check DTCs for vehicle stability control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC C1435 is not output.

NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Vehicle Stability Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(c) Driver the vehicle.

(d) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC C1A46 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
