PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM: Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit
- Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The clearance warning buzzer is an ECU-excited buzzer that sounds when it receives a pulsed digital pattern from the ECU. The ECU operates the buzzer using a sound pattern that changes depending on the distance to the obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the intuitive parking assist system on.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Intuitive P/A / Active Test.
(f) Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)
(a) Disconnect the F52 connector from the clearance warning ECU.
(b) Disconnect the F27 connector from the clearance warning buzzer.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER
(a) Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the intuitive parking assist system on.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Intuitive P/A / Active Test.
(f) Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

OK:
The clearance warning buzzer sounds.
NG -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU Removal
OK -- END (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER WAS DEFECTIVE)
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)
(a) Disconnect the F54 connector from the parking assist ECU.
(b) Disconnect the F27 connector from the clearance warning buzzer.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER
(a) Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

7. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the intuitive parking assist system on.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Intuitive P/A / Active Test.
(f) Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.
