EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL RECEIVER HITCH BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Towing Hitch)

(a) Install the receiver hitch bracket sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.





Torque : 80 Nm (816 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Because the receiver hitch bracket sub-assembly is very heavy, it may cause injury or fall resulting in damage to the vehicle body when it is being handled. During removal or installation, make sure that there are enough people available to hold the hitch bracket securely.

(b) Engage the clamp. (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

2. INSTALL RECEIVER HITCH BRACKET LH (w/ Towing Hitch)

(a) Install the receiver hitch bracket LH with the 3 bolts and nut.





Torque : 80 Nm (816 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL RECEIVER HITCH BRACKET RH (w/ Towing Hitch)

(a) Install the receiver hitch bracket RH with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 80 Nm (816 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 6 nuts.





Torque : 35 Nm (357 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf)

(b) Engage the clamp. (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

5. INSTALL CAP GROMMET (w/ Air Suspension)

(a) Install the cap grommet.





6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the rear bumper energy absorber.





7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (w/ Towing Hitch)

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the rear bumper energy absorber.





8. INSTALL TOWING SOCKET (w/ Towing Hitch) Installation

9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

(a) Engage the 4 claws.





(b) Install the rear bumper side retainer LH with the 2 screws.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws.





(b) Install the rear bumper side support LH with the 2 screws.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

13. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Apply pieces of tape to the positions on the rear bumper assembly shown in the illustration to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.





HINT
If the existing tape does not provide adequate adhesion, use additional tape with enough adhesion to secure the No. 3 luggage room wire.

14. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

for Corner Sensor: Installation

15. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

for Corner Sensor: Installation

for Back Sensor: Installation

16. INSTALL REAR SIDE MARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

17. INSTALL REAR SIDE MARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
