DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE HOOD CENTER CUSHION Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TOP REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TOP REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

13. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH (w/ Air Suspension) Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP RH (w/ Air Suspension)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

17. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

18. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

19. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disengage the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.

(d) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

22. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

23. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 claws.

(b) Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

24. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

(b) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
