Front Power Seat Control System (w/ Memory)





SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory): TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the a8 and a9 connectors from the position control ECU and switch assembly.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

HINT
Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

(c) Reconnect the a8 and a9 switch connectors.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(d) If the result is not as specified, the position control ECU and switch assembly may have a malfunction.

2. CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)





(a) Disconnect the J3 connector from the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver side).

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

(c) Reconnect the J3 connector to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver side).

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(d) If the result is not as specified, the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver side) may have a malfunction.

3. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)





(a) Disconnect the 2F, 2K and 2D connectors from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

(c) Reconnect the 2F, 2K and 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

(d) Check for pluses according to the value(s) in the table below.
